February 19, 2011, that was the day, February 20^th in China. In the very cold day, several tens party members of DPC in New York came to the New York Time Square to participate in Jasmine Movement together with people in China. For a whole year, the DPC continues coming to the New York Times Square on every Saturday night to condemn the outrage happened in a week and to support the people who oppose tyranny.

At 9:00 pm on February 18, 2012, several tens party members of DPC attended the 53^rd Jasmine rally at the New York Time Square. President Zhang Jian of the DPC in New York chaired the rally. 

 

Zhang Jian said, after a year of Jasmine movement, we continued gathering here to sound out our protest voice to the rulers of Chinese Community Party (CCP) to show them the power of people. In the past year, the U.S. Committee of the DPC participated in Jasmine movements every week for more than fifty times and held rally, protest, workshop and study, etc activities for more than two hundreds times. Compared to the last year, the quality of our party members have been much lifted. The protest activity of Washington, DC in a few days ago was an outstanding sample. Our party members showed their awe-inspiring righteousness and loudly called the slogans. If people who were persecuted in China saw and heard this situation, they would be inspired and relieved from their anger.

Secretary-General of Committee, Fu Shenqi, talked at the rally. He said, since last 220, the authority of CCP was in horror for a long while. The authority used the countless manpower and material resources to monitor the every possible Jasmine movement at every possible walking spot and threatened, house arrested, followed, kidnapped, disappeared, detained and even tortured the suspected people. The police and plain clothes interrogated the people who held any flowers and even took them to the police stations. Chinese people’s walking and even holding flowers were deprived. This is the ridiculous thing and never happened in the human being history.

Year 2012 is the year to change the leader of the CCP. It is also the year for democratic revolutionary. Jasmine movement will go to an upper level in the year. Since 220, members of DPC in China, Chen Wei, Chen Xi and Zhu Yufu were severely sentenced by the authority of CCP. Conversely, what the CCP most terrifies is the national political party, the DPC. We, members of DPC overseas, need to continue our effort to be the strong backup force for the members of DPC in China. The future of China must belong to people and must belong to democracy. China’s Jasmine revolutionary must be successful. Then Fu Shenqi led us to call slogans and sing the famous song of the U.S. human right movement, <<We Shall Not Be Moved>>.

Next, President Wang Juntao said

in December 2010, the autocrat of Tunisia was expelled by Tunisian people during the Jasmine revolutionary and people walked to the democracy. Then Egyptian people also expelled their autocrat. The victory of Tunisians and Egyptians inspired the people in many countries to oppose their autocrats and fight for freedom and democracy. This information was spread to China and also inspired Chinese people. People in China called on the Jasmine revolutionary and Committee of DPC fully support the movement. Since 220, for a whole year, on every Saturday we are here, at the New York Time Square, to condemn what the CCP have committed the crimes and wrongs and also support the contending of the people in China.

The spread of the China’s Jasmine movement and development of Jasmine activity changed the original popular mode of thinking. A major point needed to be affirmed that street movement is an important and must content of democracy switching in China. We are here to sound out different voices because the dissidents in China have nowhere to sound out their voices. The DPC in China is fighting for the political future to substitute the CCP. We take the responsibility of move and accomplish the political switching. That’s why many democrats were attacked by the CCP. From the end of last year to present, the leaders of DPC, Chen Wei in Sichuan, Chen Xi in Guizhoi, Zhu Yufu in Zheijang were heavily sentenced. They were unable to sound their voices. So we are here to sound out for them. We also sound out for the 13 billions people in China. Chinese people don’t have the right of election and being elected. They don’t have the freedom and right of speech, publish and organization, etc. We need to let the world know that the CCP doesn’t represent people and China. China belongs to people. Democracy must conquer tyranny.

Next, Zhang Jian read the writing speech of President Song Shuyuan. President Song said a year ago, in an extreme cold winter, President Wang Juntao and I led several ten party members and started the Jasmine garden at the New York Times Square. Today, the democratic seeds of Jasmine will be harvest in the countries of Egypt, Libya and Yemen, etc. We believe that the Jasmine will be blossom widely in China. End One-Party Autocracy! China belongs to people!

Some democrats from South Africa came to our team and took photo with us. They exchanged contact information. More then ten Egyptian democrats were very excited to participate in our protest activity. They were very angry that their army government kept delaying return the political power to people. They stayed with us to loudly call, “Free free Egypt! Democracy China! Democracy Egypt!”

Office Director of the U.S. Committee of DPC led members to sing <<Such A Beautiful Jasmine>> again. Party members continued calling the slogans to fight for democracy in China.
