Party Members of National Committee Clean the Statue of Goddess of Democracy

Democracy Party of China (DPC) in San Francisco
Clean the Statue of Goddess of China's Democracy

On June 4, 1994, five years after the June 4th Movement, with the support of Hong Kong Stake, Nancy Pelosi who is the U.S. Congressman in San Francisco and the previous Speaker of the House of Representative, and large Chinese people in San Francisco, "China's Democracy Education Foundation" in San Francisco of the United States got through the heavy obstruction and interruption by the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco and built the first statue of Goddess of China's Democracy at the Portsmouth Square in San Francisco Chinatown.

On May 12, 2012, some party members of DPC in San Francisco came to
Portsmouth Square
to clean the statue of Goddess of Democracy. We will have a clean statue in the memorial activity of the 23rd June 4th Movement.   Party members participating in this cleaning of Goddess of Democracy include Wang Yupeng who is the person in charge of DPC in Bay Area, Zhang Shusen, Bi Mingzhi, Chen Pide, Jiang Xiaojun.

The cleaned Statue of Goddess of Democracy in San Francisco looks very refreshing.  On the 23rd memorial day of the June 4th Movement, people will have memorial rally around her and present the flowers to her.  At night, people will light up candles to memorize the victims in the June 4th Movement.
